Winter 2024 Skeet League
The Winter session of the Skeet League began on February 21st, 2024. It consists of two rounds of skeet each week for eight weeks. To help level the field of competition, this is a handicapped league. Open the brochure with the link below to read more about this event.

2024 WRITA Event – May 3rd, 4th, and 5th
Hillsboro’s annual WRITA event will be held on May 5th. The main event is Sunday with 50 bird Singles and 50 bird Handicap targets. We will also have additional events on Friday May 3rd and Saturday the 4th for those who would like to participate. Friday will have a warm-up 50 bird Handicap and a warm-up 60 bird Backer. Saturday is the Preliminary 50 bird Handicap, a 60 bird Backer, followed by our 60 bird Club Event.

Hillsboro has always tried to have a great raffle for our WRITA event. All of the proceeds go directly to the club’s bottom line and greatly help with maintenance and day-to-day operation of the club. Again, this year the club will purchase multiple items for the raffle and maybe a gun or two will be the mix. But we can use some additional items, the more the merrier. If you would like to donate an item, we would seriously appreciate it!
Things that are popular are boxes of shells/ammunition, bottles of liquor or wine (only to be consumed after shooting of course), food baskets, knifes, lottery tickets be creative!
You can drop them off at the clubhouse anytime, even on the morning of the Sunday shoot.
After the shooting on Saturday, we will have a Poker Tournament. The details are being hammered out and will be sent out in a future newsletter and posted on our website when they are ready, stay tuned.
Junior Winter Trapshooting League
Sign Up and New Shooter Orientation Training Saturday Oct 28th at Noon.
Season starts Saturday November 4th, 2023, and ends Saturday February 3rd, 2024.
Oregon State High School Clay Target League June 22nd and 23rd, 2024
We are very pleased to announce that Hillsboro Trap and Skeet club is once again hosting the Oregon State High School Clay Target League’s trap tournament in 2024!!
Last year we had around 550 High School students from all over our state compete. This year will be just as busy and action-packed for sure.
As you can imagine it will be a very busy weekend, not to mention the weeks leading up to it. There will be many things to do around the club so that we are ready for the weekend. To that end, we are in need of volunteers to help us, either in advance of the shoot or the days of the tournament.
We will need help with grounds maintenance, vendor area setup, trap setup, parking, trap loading, score sheet runners, kitchen help, and a few other items I haven’t mentioned. If you can help, we would love to have you. Even a couple of hours of your time would really help. We will hold a meeting at the clubhouse, about a month before the Shoot to discuss the tournament and what volunteers are needed to do. Please consider joining us!! As soon as that date is established, I’ll pass it along to you! In the meantime, if you can help, please contact Tonya at the club.
Oregon State High School Clay Target League – Warm-up Shoot – June 8th
Open to all students who are shooting in this year’s High School Trap League Championship is our Warm-Up Shoot. The program is scheduled for 10 a.m. This shoot will follow the same format as the actual State Shoot; it is a great chance to see how the actual tournament will work and practice in a tournament-like setting.
We will have some RV camping slots available for this event. Call or email Tonya at the club for more information.
2024 Bird Dog 100

The 3rd annual Bird Dog 100 is scheduled this year for Saturday October 12th, 2024.
