Additional Information

The Hillsboro Trap and Gun Club is a 501(c)(4) entity. With the exception of our Club Manager Tonya Julian and a few part time staff, we are a volunteer-based organization.

A Brief History of Our Club:

In the 1920s and 1930s, the Hillsboro Rod and Gun Club originally shot trap at Shute Park in Hillsboro Oregon.

The shooting grounds were relocated to a site near the Washington County Fair Grounds in the late 1930’s.

After World War II the property on Wren Road was acquired and the club members erected a surplus WWII Quonset Hut as their original club house.

In 1949 the club was registered with the State of Oregon as a Non-profit Corporation.

One Trap field was constructed followed by many more over the years. Today we have 13 Trap and 2 Skeet fields.

Our current club house was built in 1982-3.

The name of the club was changed to the Hillsboro Trap and Skeet Club in 1987.
